Do you want to further extend your knowledge and awareness of autism and neurodiversity?
In this course, you will learn about different aspects of autism, including the characteristics of autism, key differences between the brains of neurotypical and autistic individuals, how autism affects executive functioning skills and how autism and anxiety are linked.
You'll also gain insight into the various and individual strengths and challenges experienced by autistic individuals.
What this course explores:
- Characteristics of autism, assessment and diagnosis
- Autism and executive function
- The autistic brain
- Autism and anxiety
You'll come away from the course having learnt new ways of supporting others and managing your own experiences of anxiety or executive function challenges. You'll also be able to recognise the different ways these challenges might manifest for people on the autism spectrum.
