Description
Have you always wanted to know how to make the most of your smartphone camera?
On this beginner-level course you'll gain the skills to improve the quality of your smartphone photography and take photos that really impress! Explore camera functions and techniques to create better images and study the work of professionals to learn exactly what makes a photograph great.
No experience necessary, just an interest in photography and a desire to take better photos!
As part of the course, you'll learn all about:
- Camera Basics - layout, focus, exposure, basic composition
- Composition Fundamentals - framing, symmetry, patterns, negative space
- Light & Colour, types of light, shadows, silhouettes
- Movement & Exposure Control
- Creative Technique - reflections, angles, shadow play
- Editing Basics - cropping, exposure, colour, editing
- Genre Exploration - portrait, landscape, street, macro
- Showcase photography & reflection

This course is suitable if you're a beginner and want to learn about this subject, and you don't have relevant knowledge or experience.
What will I need to bring?
Please bring a smartphone/tablet capable of taking photos. Please also bring photo ID with you e.g. passport or driving licence.

There is no formal assessment for this course. Your tutor will provide feedback to help you improve.
