Description
Would you like to spend quality time with your pre-school child while building foundations for their education? Do you want to learn how to engage in your child's learning journey and help nurture their love of learning? If so, this course is for you!
During the course, we will explore numeracy skills through the story 'Peter Rabbit & The Christmas Present Hunt' and take part in activities linked to the book and Christmas. You and your child will learn through play, supported by our primary-education-trained tutor.
This course is for anyone with a child aged 3-6, and no prior knowledge of early years education is needed. You will be fully supported as you support your child, so if you found literacy or numeracy a challenge at school, please don't worry about joining.
We welcome and support all SEND families. Please let us know about any needs your child may have.
At the start of the session, there will be a free-flow activity to enjoy while everyone arrives. We will then meet together, greet each other, and share the story. The rest of the session will be a mix of free-flow exploration activities, group games, and songs. The activities will include craft, creative play, games, stories, physical challenges and plenty of fun.

What are the entry requirements for this course?
This course is suitable if you have no experience in this subject and want to discover if it's for you.
What will I need to bring?
Feel free to bring anything with you that will help your child to engage e.g. soft toy, ear defenders. It is advised to wear comfortable clothes and shoes as you will be moving around. Some of the activities may be messy or wet (aprons will be available).
Please bring photo ID with you e.g. passport or driving licence.
Will I be assessed?
There is no formal assessment for this course. Your tutor will provide feedback to help you improve.
