Description

Are you looking to improve your English for life in the UK?

This supportive and friendly course running on Mondays and Fridays is perfect if you're learning English as a second language and would like to build your confidence for living and working in the UK. With a focus on practical language skills, we'll help you to feel more comfortable with everyday English use.

On this course you will:
- practise speaking, listening, reading, and writing in English
- build your vocabulary
- learn about British culture
- prepare for volunteering, work, or further study in the UK
- gain confidence using English in everyday situations
- meet other learners and share experiences

The course takes place weekly on Zoom, so only access to an internet connection is required, and will provide you with the skills to progress onto further English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) courses.

What are the entry requirements for this course?
This course is suitable if you're a beginner and want to learn about this subject, and you don't have relevant knowledge or experience. There are no qualifications required for this course, just a willingness to learn. You will need to have internet access and be able to join on Zoom.

What will I need to bring?
Please bring a pen and some paper. Please also bring photo ID with you e.g. passport or driving licence.

Will I be assessed?
There is no formal assessment for this course. Your tutor will provide feedback to help you improve.
