What are the entry requirements for this course?
This course is suitable if you have completed our Starter Level in this subject or a similar subject area, or have previous experience, and want to progress and explore this subject in more depth.

Venue directions
We do not have a "venue" as the workshops and courses are all walking activities. The exact location, and therefore the meeting point of the start of the walk, is weather dependent, and therefore not finalised until 24-48 hours before the start. What3Words locations are sent to participants driving themselves to the start of the walk when it has been confirmed.

The minibus pick-up points for the courses, with What3Words locations, are:

Bus stop outside St John's Church, Highbridge: ///fruits.inspects.parsnips

B&M Car park, Burnham-on-Sea: ///parsnips.smoke.sailors

Strawberry Line Car park, Cheddar: ///adults.litigate.mugs

What will I need to bring?
You will need: packed lunch, a drink, sturdy footwear, outdoor clothes: hat, gloves, scarf, waterproofs and your smartphone if you have one. You must possess the willingness and the ability to walk 3 miles on the first session, with stops, and to walk up an incline and down a decline on rough terrain. Help and encouragement are always provided. Please bring photo ID with you e.g. passport or driving licence.

Will I be assessed?
There is no formal assessment for this course. Your tutor will provide feedback to help you improve.

What can I do next?
At the end of this course, if you'd like to continue with your learning in this subject, you'll be able to progress onto our Enhancer Level courses. Our workshops and courses are designed to provide essential skills, develop confidence and resilience, improve your health and wellbeing, prepare you for further learning or employment, provide ways to learn with your family and build communities.
