Description

This course is run by Mind in Somerset. This online workshop has been designed to increase community alertness and confidence to better understand the correlation between mental health symptoms and the menopause. The zoom link will be sent out by Mind in Somerset after enrolment.

By the end of the workshop participants can expect to have:
- An improved understanding of mental health in the context of the menopause
- Knowledge of changes that can occur and the possible effects on a person's mental health
- Tips to engage in conversations around the menopause and associated symptoms
- The tools to enable those experiencing mental health symptoms to be able to spot the signs and make informed choices about the support they receive alongside their own self-care.
- Knowledge of support and services available within Somerset

What are the entry requirements for this course?
This course is suitable if you're a beginner and want to learn about this subject, and you don't have relevant knowledge or experience. There are no qualifications required for this course, just a willingness to learn. You will need to have internet access and be able to join on Zoom.

What will I need to bring?
Please bring a pen and some paper. Please also bring photo ID with you e.g. passport or driving licence.

There is no formal assessment for this course. Your tutor will provide feedback to help you improve.
