Description
This course is run by Mind in Somerset and has been designed to help learners navigate conversations with the bereaved and understand how to support and signpost them. The zoom link will be sent out by Mind in Somerset after enrolment.
This workshop would be beneficial for learners who work with, or are looking at working with people who have recently suffered a bereavement.

The aims of this workshop are:
- To improve knowledge and understanding of the impact a person who has been bereaved may experience (individual frames of reference)
- To increase knowledge of theory, personal responses, and the impact of bereavement
- To provide practical skills that will influence approaches to bereavement in a positive way
- Provide effective resources and signposting information for those who may benefit from specialist bereavement support services

What are the entry requirements for this course?
This course is suitable if you have completed our Starter Level in this subject or a similar subject area, or have previous experience, and want to progress and explore this subject in more depth. You will need to have internet access and be able to join on Zoom.
What will I need to bring?
Please bring a pen and some paper. Please also bring photo ID with you e.g. passport or driving licence.
Will I be assessed?
There is no formal assessment for this course. Your tutor will provide feedback to help you improve.
