Ever wished you could capture the beauty of your local area at night time?
Frome is one of the most ancient and beautiful towns in Somerset, with more old and listed buildings than in any other town in the county, but it becomes magical at night.
Join James Bartholomew for this course in photographing the streets and sights of Frome after the sun goes down, in new and unexpected ways.
From long exposures on a tripod capturing high dynamic light range through bracketing, to handheld shots panning traffic, making abstract light patterns, this course will make you enjoy the night in a new way.

- Mixing flash and ambient light
- Editing images with Photoshop

This course is suitable if you're a beginner and want to learn about this subject, and you don't have relevant knowledge or experience.
What will I need to bring?
Please bring a pen and some paper. Please bring your digital camera and any other equipment you would like to use. We will be going outside at nighttime so please wear warm clothing. Please also bring your smartphone if you have one and photo ID e.g. passport or driving licence.

There is no formal assessment for this course. Your tutor will provide feedback to help you improve.
