Please note: Each session lasts six hours, and is split up into two sessions either side of a lunch break
Are you looking to take the first step into teaching or training? The Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) is an introductory qualification that equips you with essential skills and a nationally recognised certification to kickstart your teaching journey.
Whether you're new to teaching, exploring a career change, or want to enhance your skills, this course is designed for:
- Those not currently in a teaching or training role but looking to get started.
- Those already in a teaching or training role, including those new to the profession.
- Assessors who want to broaden their expertise with a qualification that provides an introduction to teaching.
This course provides practical knowledge and confidence to plan and deliver engaging learning sessions. No prior teaching experience is required - just your passion for helping others learn.
Entry Requirements
You will need a laptop/computer to access the work and attend training via Zoom sessions with your tutor.
You will need to complete an initial assessment for English before starting the course.
You must have been resident in the UK/EU for 3+ years, for purposes other than study.
You must be over the age of 19.
Assessment
The course is assessed by your tutor then verified.
There are no exams.
Progression
Depending on your interests, this would be particularly useful in working with adults.
Learners who achieve this qualification could progress to:
- NCFE Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training
- NCFE Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training
